​Shuksan Vans is the culmination of 20+ years of upfitting energy. The founder of Shuksan has always been a hands-on DIYer and started his upfitting days in college when he converted his first VW Transporter into his friends-hauling, road-tripping, camper-going rig. Next came a VW Vanagon, then a derailment onto the water and a complete conversion of a wood trawler. Shortly thereafter,  a cargo trailer converted into a simple, all kinds of coolness, family camper that provided the dry shelter with creature comforts of home for his family of 4.

Then came his first Mercedes Sprinter 144 which promptly was converted into their family of 4 camper. He went on to do and help on other Sprinter conversions and through those experiences recognized a need. A need for simple, creative, aesthetically pleasing, and durable components to help upfit aspiring road trippers.
